Gold Parties: A Little Creativity Can Go A Long Way!
By admin November 30th, 2009

You’ve probably been to a number of parties over the course of your life.  Costume parties are traditional around Halloween.  Holiday parties with reindeer and Santa are all the rage around Christmas.  There’s no reason not to turn a gold party into one of these as well.  With a little creativity, you can throw a gold party that will be an affair to remember.

A Halloween costume party would make a great theme for a gold party.  Pirates, scalawags, and buried treasure go hand in hand with gold!  Everyone can have a little fun digging up their “buried treasure” and selling off “pieces of eight.”

And with Christmas fast approaching, there’s no reason why you can’t throw a holiday themed gold party.  Santa is known for bringing gifts to the good little girls and boys.  What better gift could anyone want than cash?!  The only problem might be finding and convincing the right person to dress up as Santa!

These are just a couple of ideas meant to get your imagination going.  Other good ideas I’ve heard of include a singles only Valentine’s Gold Party where you and your single friends sell your gold jewelry from all of your ex’s.  Really, the only limit for a good gold party theme is your own creativity!

Premiere Gold Parties Says “Thank You” and Happy Thanksgiving!
By admin November 24th, 2009

This is the time of year that seems perfect to reflect on things that we are thankful for. Here at Premiere Gold Parties we have had so many success stories over the past year that we wanted to take a few moments to share some things that we are thankful for.

First and foremost we are thankful for all our wonderful hosts. Throughout the year we receive many letters, emails and phone calls from hosts after they have had a Premiere Gold Party saying how happy they were with our services. It’s wonderful to hear that all of their guests had a great time and felt that the offer they received to purchase their broken and unwanted gold jewelry was fair and generous, usually more than they had even dreamed of getting. We love to hear that the care we take in planning your party is recognized and that our professionalism is always well received.

We are also thankful for the wonderful gold prices that allows us to be so generous when we buy your scrap gold. This economy has been tough on all of us recently but the record high gold prices have been a silver lining in this recession for so many. Selling old and broken gold jewelry has been an easy way for many to earn much needed extra cash that can compensate for budget shortfalls during these trying economic times.

We are thankful that many organizations have turned to us to aid them in their fund raising endeavors. Getting to work with so many wonderful worthwhile charities holds a special place in our hearts. The fact that both the host charity and their donor guests leave our scrap gold parties with more cash than they arrived with can be a blessing for all.

So at this time of Thanks Giving we say, “Thank You!” to all our past Premiere Gold Parties Hosts, clients, and to anyone that is considering hosting a party with us. It has been an honor to be able to bring you our professional gold buying services, it is a joy that we can help out so many. We look forward to providing our outstanding level of service throughout the rest of the holiday season and into the new year!

Why I Became A Premiere Gold Parties Representative
By admin November 11th, 2009

I have a good job but there always seemed to be some extra expense coming up that could leave my monthly budget tight. I thought about getting a part time job at a store or restaurant but committing my precious few free hours to standing around someplace that I didn’t want to be made eating the generic brand of peanut butter and bread for dinner a couple nights a week not so bad.

Then I got an invite from a friend to her gold party. It came at a great time! I’d just gotten a nail in my tire, and had to replace it so I was hoping to get some extra cash from a few pieces of gold jewelry that an old boyfriend had given to me. The gold party was fun, I actually caught up with a few old friends and I thought that the offer to buy the gold jewelry that had been sitting in a drawer was very generous. More than enough to pay for that new tire.

A few days after the party I got an email about becoming a gourmet kitchen gadget rep. I liked the idea of earning extra cash working a night or two a week. The fact that I would be meeting new people and working in such a social atmosphere really seemed nice. Then I found out about the huge investment I would have to make to get my “Starter Kit”. I was thinking about investing the extra money I got from my gold at the gold party, then it hit me. I called Premier Gold Parties and they did have an opportunity for Party Reps.

I went through training on how to weigh and test gold jewelry, my initial investment to become a rep was extremely small, there are no heavy samples to lug around from party to party, they hand me gold party leads from their top ranking website, and best of all there are no high pressure sales.

Since becoming a Premiere Gold Parties Representative I have met a lot of great people. I love throwing the parties with the hosts and I only eat a peanut butter sandwich for dinner if I want to! I couldn’t be happier with my decision!

From The Pen Of One Of Our Gold Party Guests!
By admin November 9th, 2009

Finally, a party where they’re not trying to sell you something!

We’ve all been invited to one; a Something-or-other Party. If you go you’ll feel obligated to buy the Something-or-other. Growing up I can remember my mom cursing under her breath about yet another Tupperware Party. Come to think of it, mom did have a lot of Tupperware!

The first time I was asked to a “Something-or-other Party” I felt so grown-up, so of course I went and I bought a few things. I mean to not buy anything would be rude — the hostess had drinks and food for everyone, she even made cocktail weinies! It was a fun night and I went home with my receipt and a slight giddiness at the anticipation of getting the items that I had bought.

Well that was my first Something-or-other Party, flash forward a few years and I now curse under my breath anytime I get an Evite for one! At least I did until I went to a Something-or other Party that was completely different than any other. A friend invited me to a Gold Party.

At first I thought, “Yeah, like I have piles of unwanted gold lying around.” But you know what? I did have some things; a gold necklace given to me by an ex, a scarf pin given to me by an aunt who was obviously did not to know that no one wears scarf pins anymore, and a couple of gold rings that I never wear anymore.

So I showed up at the home of the hostess with ziploc bag of my loot not quite knowing what to expect – although I was hoping for some cocktail wienies. There was a good size crowd, about 11 of us. We sipped wine and nibbled on cheese; we chatted with each other mostly about the jewelry that we were hoping to get some cash for and the stories that were attached to the items.

When it was my turn I went into the dining room to meet with the buyer. I sheepishly handed him my ziploc bag, wishing I had put it in something a little nicer. He didn’t seem to even notice the bag but smiled and made small talk as he began testing the pieces for karat weight. Everything I had tested to be 14 kt gold so he weighed it together on a scale right in front of me did some quick calculations and offered me $576.00! It was way more than I had expected to get. So with a big smile on my face I took the offer and went back to the party to share the great news.

So without a doubt this was the best, my most favorite party, I even planning on hosting a gold party myself! So to all my friends out there, do not curse under your breath when you get the Evite, just gather up the gold jewelry that’s broken or unwanted, bring it to my Gold Party and leave with lots of cash! And yes, I’ll be serving cocktail wienies!

Sell Scrap Gold At A Gold Party!
By admin November 5th, 2009

All About Scrap Gold

Too often, people have a misunderstanding about what scrap gold is and how much they can get for it at a gold party. This is unfortunate because it means you might have a lot of gold lying around the house that you could scrap out for cash.

Scrap Gold is the term jewelers use to describe any type of gold that serves no purpose except to be melted down. Our gold party representatives purchase scrap gold from customers, compensate them accordingly, and then we melt it down and sell the gold on the international gold market.  So, let’s make a list of items you might have around your house that could give you a nice pile of scrap gold to sell at one of our gold parties!

This list isn’t exhaustive of different types of scrap gold, but it will open your eyes to some of the things you have around the house that could put some extra cash in your pocket at the next gold party. And, it will help you start thinking creatively about scrap gold, so you can find even more hidden wealth.

Some scrap gold items you might have are:

  • Broken Gold Jewelry
  • Gold Chains that are forever tangled together
  • Gold Earrings that have lost their mate
  • Gold Teeth / Fillings
  • Gold foil
  • Gold pins or brooches
  • Gold class rings
  • Ugly, Outdated gold jewelry
  • Any gold jewelry you will never wear again!

Really, scrap gold is anything you have that is made of gold that you don’t need. An old item of gold that can’t be restored to it’s former glory is a prime candidate for scrap gold. Also, consider scrapping those items that are missing a mate, such as a single gold earring.

Look around and you might find a great deal of scrap gold right under your nose. Luckily Premiere Gold Parties pays on the weight, not the beauty or condition of the jewelry at all of our gold parties.  Ugly or broken doesn’t matter, that’s why it’s called SCRAP GOLD!

Hi Joyce, I just wanted to tell you that, although we had a small group, we had such a good time at my Gold Party last night. My husband and I felt that Eric did such a great job and even my 13-year-old son was so impressed with the whole process and enjoyed being ''taught'' by Eric. I would love to schedule another party for mid-January and if possible, request Eric again.
