Diamond iPad?
By admin March 26th, 2010
When the world of electronic devices and jewelry combine the result is a diamond iPad. If you haven’t heard about Apple’s latest creation, the iPad, let me give you the details. The iPad is a tablet computer that can best be described as a hybrid between a smartphone and a laptop computer. It has a large touchscreen, countless apps, and 3G. The device will be released for public purchase next month. If having the latest highly sought after device isn’t enough for you, check out the diamond iPad. The diamond iPad has 11.43 carats of diamonds surrounding the screen of the device. A regular iPad will cost you around $5oo while the diamond encrusted iPad is $19,999. This isn’t the first Apple product to be encrusted with diamonds. A diamond iPod was recently auctioned off for charity bringing in $40,000. Seems like the industry of ultra luxury electronic devices is growing with items such as gold and platinum plated phones and computers.

“SNL” Staffer Finds Lost 4-Carat Diamond
By admin March 19th, 2010
After Bree Candee and her husband attended a Saturday Night Live rehearsal last weekend they decided to grab dinner at a nearby restaurant. At the restaurant Candee glanced down at her gold engagement ring and noticed the 4-carat diamond was missing.
After thoroughly searching the restaurant, the couple turned their attention back to studio 8H located at the famous 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The couple got in touch with SNL stage director, Tom Popple, whom they met before the rehearsal. Popple told the couple he was holding the giant gem as they spoke! He actually found the diamond under the seat where Candee had been sitting. Candee was relieved to be reunited with the better half of her ring stating “It’s one of my favorite things. I wake up in cold sweats dreaming that I’m going to lose my ring — and the funny thing is, I did.”

Gold Saves Lives
By admin March 14th, 2010
In 1890, Nobel Prize winner and distinguished bacteriologist Robert Koch discovered that compounds made with gold inhibited the growth of the bacillus that caused tuberculosis. Since Koch’s discovery the medical uses of gold has expanded greatly. Gold is used in surgery to patch damaged blood vessels, nerves, and bones. Gold is even used in many cancer treatments, medical equipment, and life saving drugs. Just this month researchers revealed that they may have solved the mystery to how gold helps ailments such as arthritis. A study at Harvard Medical School found that some types of gold and platinum can strip bacteria and virus particles from key immune system proteins.
With all the benefits gold brings to medicine and technology we strongly encourage those with broken, old, and unwanted gold jewelry to turn in their gold for cash. When gold is sold back to jewelry and gold buyers we can melt the gold and have it reused in such products as medicine and medical equipment. You never know, that old jewelry sitting in your jewelry box could one day be used to help save your life. To sell you gold, silver, and platinum jewelry and items contact us today!

The Wittelsbach Diamond
By admin January 20th, 2010
An interesting history lesson for all you readers out there!
When tracing the histories of famous diamonds it is not unusual to come across periods in which the diamond’s location becomes unknown or untraceable. Such is the case with the rare 35.52 carat, dark blue diamond known as the Wittelsbach diamond. After being taken from India to Europe in the 17th century it was given as a gift to the Infanta Margarita Teresa, the subject of numerous Velázquez paintings, by her father the king of Spain. The jewel was eventually part of the Bavarian and Austrian crown jewels until 1964 when it was scooped up by private hands and fell into obscurity.
After a sudden reappearance in 2008 the Wittelsbach diamond became known as the most ever paid for diamond at auction selling for $24.3 million. The billionaire buyer, Laurence Graff, has taken some heat for recutting the diamond to eliminate imperfections and in turn reducing the diamond from 35.52 to 31 carats. He also renamed the diamond to the Wittelsbach-Graff diamond. The Wittelsbach-Graff diamond will be on display at the Smithsonian Institute alongside the famous Hope Diamond until August 2010.

The Symbolism Of Gold Throughout History
By admin December 22nd, 2009
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the true symbolic meaning of gold. Gold has been associated with some of the most evil wrongdoings in the world, but has also been held in high regards as far as sanctity.
In the Book of Exodus, there is a reference to the Golden Calf that was a symbol of an idol God to many of the people that were traveling with Moses. This calf was viewed as a rebellion against the Lord, and was said to hold a level of evil significance throughout the Book of Exodus.
In popular culture, we view people that have an immense amount of gold jewelry as being well-off. For instance, the golden pocket watch has become something that we are used to seeing the rich or people that are capitalist adorning. Gold, more often than not is not associated with people that do not possess a high caliber of money, or power.
Credit card companies even utilize gold in order to entice people to obtain one of their cards. Normally their top performing credit card will be adorned in a gold color, or give off the aura of being made from gold granulates. However, in order to out-do the other as far as credit card companies go, platinum is now held on higher regards than gold.
In the Book of Genesis, we read that Abraham possessed an immense amount of gold, and was rich in both gold as well as silver. Moses built a cover on the Mercy Seat which he was instructed to construe out of a pure gold substance.
Gold is also associated with large stepping stones in our lives. A 50 year cycle is often times known as a golden wedding anniversary. Anything that signifies the year 50 has been reported to have some reference to gold in some manner.
In fact, many great human achievements are actually still awarded with gold. Gold medals are something that you avidly see being given out for athletic performances or things of that nature. Winners will also be given trophies that are made from a form of carved gold, or consist of some kind of gold overlay.
Even rewards that some of the most prestigious people receive are made from some type of gold. For example, the Academy awards, and the Emmy awards all give out golden trophies to their winners. In Britain, the British Academy Awards follow the same principals.
Medieval kings were inaugurated to their rightful places as a ruler above their lands by being adorned with a golden crown that contained highly priced stones as well. Heaven is also a place that is depicted to be made of gold. Additionally, in the bible you will hear a plethora of references to golden streets and golden figures and things of that nature.
Gold has always been held in high regard, and honestly many people still are unaware why this particular element after all these centuries still holds a high degree of caliber.

The California Gold Rush
By admin December 14th, 2009
At Premiere Gold Parties, we hear time and time again how the recent spike in gold prices has led to a rush of people out to sell their gold jewelry. And as gold party hosts, we see it every day! We thought it might be interesting to post a little information about the history of the California Gold Rush. We hope you enjoy!
A gold rush is a massive movement of people hoping to acquire wealth by mining gold. Throughout history gold prospectors have flocked to the United States, Canada, South Africa, and Australia in hopes of finding the valuable mineral and in turn became responsible for developing settlements in unoccupied regions. In the U.S. gold rushes were a primary contributing factor in the westward movement of people where many settled in California, the site of the first great gold rush.
The California Gold Rush began in 1848 at Sutter’s Mill in Coloma, California. The gold-seekers eventually became known as the “forty-niners” and came from all areas of the U.S. as well as from Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. The settlements that grew from the rush created roads, churches, schools, government and eventually the admission of California as a free state in 1850. Although many early gold seekers made a modest profit, most gold seekers made little money or actually lost money. Negative effects of the Gold Rush include the removal of Native Americans from traditional lands and the environmental harm resulting from the gold mining process.
Similar effects were seen in Australia in 1851, Canada in 1858, and South Africa in 1886 were additional gold rushes occurred. One of the most recent gold rushes to have occurred took place in the Amazon Basin of Brazil in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Premiere Gold Parties Says “Thank You” and Happy Thanksgiving!
By admin November 24th, 2009
This is the time of year that seems perfect to reflect on things that we are thankful for. Here at Premiere Gold Parties we have had so many success stories over the past year that we wanted to take a few moments to share some things that we are thankful for.
First and foremost we are thankful for all our wonderful hosts. Throughout the year we receive many letters, emails and phone calls from hosts after they have had a Premiere Gold Party saying how happy they were with our services. It’s wonderful to hear that all of their guests had a great time and felt that the offer they received to purchase their broken and unwanted gold jewelry was fair and generous, usually more than they had even dreamed of getting. We love to hear that the care we take in planning your party is recognized and that our professionalism is always well received.
We are also thankful for the wonderful gold prices that allows us to be so generous when we buy your scrap gold. This economy has been tough on all of us recently but the record high gold prices have been a silver lining in this recession for so many. Selling old and broken gold jewelry has been an easy way for many to earn much needed extra cash that can compensate for budget shortfalls during these trying economic times.
We are thankful that many organizations have turned to us to aid them in their fund raising endeavors. Getting to work with so many wonderful worthwhile charities holds a special place in our hearts. The fact that both the host charity and their donor guests leave our scrap gold parties with more cash than they arrived with can be a blessing for all.
So at this time of Thanks Giving we say, “Thank You!” to all our past Premiere Gold Parties Hosts, clients, and to anyone that is considering hosting a party with us. It has been an honor to be able to bring you our professional gold buying services, it is a joy that we can help out so many. We look forward to providing our outstanding level of service throughout the rest of the holiday season and into the new year!

Why I Became A Premiere Gold Parties Representative
By admin November 11th, 2009
I have a good job but there always seemed to be some extra expense coming up that could leave my monthly budget tight. I thought about getting a part time job at a store or restaurant but committing my precious few free hours to standing around someplace that I didn’t want to be made eating the generic brand of peanut butter and bread for dinner a couple nights a week not so bad.
Then I got an invite from a friend to her gold party. It came at a great time! I’d just gotten a nail in my tire, and had to replace it so I was hoping to get some extra cash from a few pieces of gold jewelry that an old boyfriend had given to me. The gold party was fun, I actually caught up with a few old friends and I thought that the offer to buy the gold jewelry that had been sitting in a drawer was very generous. More than enough to pay for that new tire.
A few days after the party I got an email about becoming a gourmet kitchen gadget rep. I liked the idea of earning extra cash working a night or two a week. The fact that I would be meeting new people and working in such a social atmosphere really seemed nice. Then I found out about the huge investment I would have to make to get my “Starter Kit”. I was thinking about investing the extra money I got from my gold at the gold party, then it hit me. I called Premier Gold Parties and they did have an opportunity for Party Reps.
I went through training on how to weigh and test gold jewelry, my initial investment to become a rep was extremely small, there are no heavy samples to lug around from party to party, they hand me gold party leads from their top ranking website, and best of all there are no high pressure sales.
Since becoming a Premiere Gold Parties Representative I have met a lot of great people. I love throwing the parties with the hosts and I only eat a peanut butter sandwich for dinner if I want to! I couldn’t be happier with my decision!

Sell Scrap Gold At A Gold Party!
By admin November 5th, 2009
All About Scrap Gold
Too often, people have a misunderstanding about what scrap gold is and how much they can get for it at a gold party. This is unfortunate because it means you might have a lot of gold lying around the house that you could scrap out for cash.
Scrap Gold is the term jewelers use to describe any type of gold that serves no purpose except to be melted down. Our gold party representatives purchase scrap gold from customers, compensate them accordingly, and then we melt it down and sell the gold on the international gold market. So, let’s make a list of items you might have around your house that could give you a nice pile of scrap gold to sell at one of our gold parties!
This list isn’t exhaustive of different types of scrap gold, but it will open your eyes to some of the things you have around the house that could put some extra cash in your pocket at the next gold party. And, it will help you start thinking creatively about scrap gold, so you can find even more hidden wealth.
Some scrap gold items you might have are:
- Broken Gold Jewelry
- Gold Chains that are forever tangled together
- Gold Earrings that have lost their mate
- Gold Teeth / Fillings
- Gold foil
- Gold pins or brooches
- Gold class rings
- Ugly, Outdated gold jewelry
- Any gold jewelry you will never wear again!
Really, scrap gold is anything you have that is made of gold that you don’t need. An old item of gold that can’t be restored to it’s former glory is a prime candidate for scrap gold. Also, consider scrapping those items that are missing a mate, such as a single gold earring.
Look around and you might find a great deal of scrap gold right under your nose. Luckily Premiere Gold Parties pays on the weight, not the beauty or condition of the jewelry at all of our gold parties. Ugly or broken doesn’t matter, that’s why it’s called SCRAP GOLD!
